BANNOCKBURN, IL – North American electronics manufacturing services (EMS) shipments increased 6% year-over-year in June, while the industry’s book-to-bill ratio reached 1.33, according to the Global Electronics Association.

Shipments rose 15% from May, while year-to-date shipments were up 7% compared with the same period in 2025.

EMS bookings increased 29% year-over-year and 6% sequentially in June. Year-to-date bookings were up 5% from the prior-year period.

“EMS firms continue to see strong demand as the market expands at a steady clip. The primary constraint today remains capacity and lead time and not demand,” said Dr. Shawn DuBravac, chief economist at the Global Electronics Association.

The three-month book-to-bill ratio stood at 1.33, indicating demand remained ahead of supply. The one-month book-to-bill ratio was 0.98.
