WASHINGTON – Global semiconductor sales reached $403 billion in the second quarter of 2026, rising 35% from the first quarter, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA).

Worldwide chip sales totaled $134 billion in June, up 123% from June 2025 and 9% from May. Monthly sales figures are compiled by World Semiconductor Trade Statistics and represent a three-month moving average.

“Global chip sales are expected to exceed $1.5 trillion in 2026, with Q2 sales substantially outpacing sales in Q1 2026,” said John Neuffer, SIA president and CEO.

Every major regional market posted both annual and monthly growth in June. Year-over-year sales increased 160% in the Americas, 124% in Asia Pacific/All Other, 112% in China, 75% in Europe and 39% in Japan.

On a month-to-month basis, sales rose 10% in China, 9% in Asia Pacific/All Other, 9% in the Americas, 8% in Japan and 7% in Europe.
