GALWAY, IRELAND – TE Connectivity has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Astrodyne TDI, expanding its portfolio of power management and electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter technologies for industrial and mission-critical applications.

Headquartered in Hackettstown, NJ, Astrodyne TDI designs custom power supplies and filter solutions for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, medical, defense and industrial markets. The company operates manufacturing facilities in North America, China and Southeast Asia.

TE said the acquisition will strengthen its Industrial Automation and Electrification business by adding power electronics capabilities that complement its existing connectors and sensors portfolio. Upon closing, Astrodyne TDI will continue operating under its current leadership and become part of TE's Automation & Connected Living sector.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
