VODERADY, SLOVAKIA -- Samsung Electronics will close its LCD TV assembly plants here and relocate production to another site in Galanta.

The company cited the need to improve efficiency for the decision.

Workers at the Voderady site will be offered jobs at Galanta, about 20 km away, Samsung said. Samsung employs more than 560 workers in Slovakia.
