PATHUMTHANI, THAILAND -- SVI Public Co., the third largest Thailand-based EMS company, reported first-quarter consolidated net profits rose 32% to 229 million baht ($7.6 million), a record for the quarter.
Consolidated revenue rose 37% from a year ago to 2.46 billion baht ($81.5 million) on demand for IP video and medical products, and an improved market for industrial products in Europe.
The contract electronics manufacturing services company's quarter ended March 31.
SVI Public Co. was the 51st largest EMS company in the world last year, according to the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Top 50.
