SAN ANTONIO — Season Group has acquired the assets of fellow electronics manufacturing services firm DC Electronics for an undisclosed amount. The deal includes the contract assembler's San Antonio plant and employees, and Season Group will begin operations there immediately. All DC Electronics employees have been retained, including founder John DiPonzio, the company said. “This is a win-win situation,” says DiPonzio. “We now can leverage an established global purchasing and manufacturing organization to provide cost-competitive services to our customers. If they want their products manufactured in the United States, we can do that. If they want to send products for offshore manufacturing, we can do that as well.” “Our expansion into San Antonio presents both business and consumer advantages to a market in which Season Group is eager to establish roots,” says David Chavez, director of US Sales for Season Group. Season Group also plans to open a new facility in San Antonio; additional details will be announced early this summer.
