ESPOO, FINLAND – Elcoteq will lay off seven staff members and temporarily lay off seven more in Finland for financial and production reasons. The decision affects Elcoteq's assembly and design operations, the firm said. The EMS group’s products include consumer electronics devices, such as mobile phones and their accessories, set-top boxes, flat panel TVs, and infrastructure systems, modules and other industrial segment products. Consolidated net sales for 2008 totaled 3.4 billion euros. Elcoteq employs approximately 11,000.
