NINGBO, CHINA -- Electronics manufacturing services provider Kitron has entered into a five-year lease agreement for a new factory here, the company said.

The contract with Nordic Industrial Park Co. covers more than 4000 sq. m of space, and the new plant could come on line by the fall quarter.

“The factory is planned to be up and running with the most simple products late in the third quarter and comes as a consequence of meeting our global customers demand,” said Jørgen Bredesen, CEO of Kitron.

The company's board voted in November to establish a facility in China.
