KANATA, OTTAWA – Sanmina-SCI will expand its factory here and add up to 90 workers by year-end, the company told local reporters. The EMS firm will expand the plant size, currently 50,000 sq. ft., by 50% or 25,000 sq. ft., as it changes its focus from prototyping to volume manufacturing. A plant manager said the staffing, currently 90, could double over the next six to nine months.
