| Hon Hai Debunks Apple Distribution Reports |

TAIPEI -- Hon Hai Precision today disputed reports the company will distribute Apple's iPhone in China. Hon Hai, the official name of Foxconn, dismissed the reports as media rumor, saying big announcements would come from the company. Beginning last week, several Chinese and Taiwanese media reported Hon Hai had landed general acting rights for Apple's products on the Chinese mainland and the company would start a large-scale construction of channel market in mainland China. One report went so far as to claim that Hon Hai seeks to become the largest channel distributor of consumer electronics for mainland China. Hon Hai spokesperson Edmund Ding shot down those reports, calling them media speculation.
