MILWAUKIE, OR – A two-month effort to uncover the oldest ECD M.O.L.E. thermal profiler has found a 25-year-old working model at Murata Power Solutions in Massachusetts.

The winning profiler was submitted by Ron Souza, manufacturing engineering manager at Murata. Records show the device was built in 1987, and it has been in use ever since.

Murata’s prize for winning the contest? A new SuperM.O.L.E. Gold 2.
