ANGERS, FRANCE -- Local authorities have given workers at a Technicolor set-top box factory here a one-month stay of execution from a shutdown.

The Nanterre Tribunal of commerce determined today that the nearly 330 workers would stay on the job for 30 more days as discussions over the fate of the manufacturing plant continue.

The site had filed for insolvency in April.

Technicolor has entertained offers for the site, reportedly including one from Eolane, one of the largest EMS companies in Europe.
