TOKYO -- A Tokyo district court has approved the assignment of Minami Co., the Japanese OEM of screen printers and placement equipment, to affiliates of a pair of Korean companies. The assignment to Protec Co. and I&Y Co. is effective Aug. 31. Minami has been undergoing reorganization since March due a precipitous drop in sales of its SMT equipment.
