SOUTH POINT, OHIntermountain Electronics last week broke ground on a new $4 million facility here, its first in Ohio.

The 60,000 sq. ft. expansion at The Point Industrial Park should be open by year’s end, local officials forecast. It is being funded in part by a Community Development Block Grant and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The new site will initially employ a reported 35 workers.

Utah-based Intermountain designs and manufactures electronic switch gears and breaker boxes.
