EL SEGUNDO, CA -- DRAM sales rose 14% sequentially to $10.78 billion as average selling prices hit their highest point in nearly two years. Shipments topped previous highs, and sales volumes are in line to beat previous annual records, said research firm iSuppli. Market leader Samsung Electronics gained share during the quarter on a 24% increase in sales. Samsung's share was up 280 basis points to 35.4%, iSuppli said.
