The German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI) represents the economic, technological and environmental policy interests of the German electrical and electronics industry at the national, European and international levels. It provides specific information about the economic, technical and regulatory framework conditions of the electrical industry in Germany. With more than 350 member companies the department of Automation within the ZVEI is the only platform for the German automation engineering community, including industrial information and communication technology as well as the respective services. Germany is Europe's largest PCB manufacturer and is ranked behind China, Japan, Taiwan, Korean and the US as a national producer of printed circuit boards.
