Edina, MN -- Two new software applications for materials and RoHs declaration are available from the Surface Mount Technology Association's Web site.

For small-to-medium size enterprises with RoHS-related obligations, the Material Declaration Wizard (MDW) is an automated substance-level data collection software.

The Windows desktop application collects, aggregates and distributes substance data that allows you to declare substances required by RoHS, JIG A, B, & C, or to declare that your components have been lead-free assembly tested. Allows input once and output multiple times, with instant visual compliance status, certified data, and an audit trail. Adheres to iNEMI IPC 1751/1752 standard for Material Declaration Management.

The RoHS Declaration Wizard (RDW) is an automated substance-level data collection solution that certifies and distributes RoHS substance information.

Establishes a legally binding compliance audit trail, exchangse certificates of compliance and satisfies the emerging "reasonable steps" requirement for RoHS due diligence.  The standards-based desktop application also adheres to the 1751/1752 format.

Free trial downloads are available here.
