TAIPEI – Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., the parent of Foxconn Electronics, has acquired a 16% stake in silicon foundry Advanced Microelectronic Products for $4.3 million. AMP produces a small number – reportedly 30,000 wafers a month – of analog ICs and MOSFETs.
