This is the first glossary of terms dedicated to surface-mount technology. One of the key issues here is price sensitivity. Many other textbooks have a glossary included, but not as illustrated or as detailed as this one. The book also features a section covering standard abbreviations; those things we all use, but often forget to explain. This handbook is ideal for students, as a reference source for journalists and technical writers, or for people who are looking to understand some of the more common terminology used in our industry. If you don't have a basic guide to terms and definitions used in the industry, this is certainly useful.
