BENGALURU, KARNATAKA, INDIA -- Wistron is reportedly considering investing about Rs 64 billion ($1 billion) to relocate a printed circuit board assembly plant here.

The ODM/EMS would hire up to 4,000 workers for the site, according to local business media.

Wistron plans to make low-cost PC motherboards at the plant. India is pushing for more product geared for the domestic market to be built locally, and is raising import costs of key components.
