GUADALAJARA, MEXICO -- Rehm Thermal Systems has opened a technology center here, expanding on its two-year old sales office to capitalize on the North American automotive electronics market.

The 32,000 sq. ft. site offers the company's VisionXP+ reflow convection soldering system, for soldering trials and extensive tests. Other systems will be installed during future expansion of the center, Rehm said.

The event was memorialized with a technology day which focused on future trends in electronics assembly production.

The move expands the soldering oven OEM's branch office in Guadalajara, which opened in 2014 for distribution, spare parts supply and service.

"The intensive consultation directly at the plant allows better process support before, during and after the investment in a Rehm system. With the new Technology Centre in Guadalajara, we will be able to provide individual customer support, coupled with the latest technology developments and fast response times, as well as further expand our services," said Michael Hanke, Rehm's global sales manager.
