SHENZHEN – BYD generated consolidated first-half revenues of $6.7 billion, up 43.7% year-over-year.  Net profit was $338.4 million, up 384.2% compared to the first six months of 2015.

Consolidated revenues consisted of $3.5 billion (53.5%) from automobiles and related products and services, $2.4 billion (37.3%) from handset assembly and components, and the remainder from solar and energy products.

BYD is not only a major EMS provider, it also is a developer of electric and other types of vehicles.
